Last night I settled in by the fire for a bit of knitting. I've been working on a new sweater design for about a week or so and I had made some very good progress. There were a few little design decisions I had made early on that I was beginning to question. Last night I realized that I just couldn't live with it the way it was. It would be way better if I just tweaked it a little bit.
10 minutes later and my sweater looked like this:
It wasn't easy, but now I'm back on track and I think that I'll be much happier with the finished results this time around.

OH NO!!!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully it works out for you this time!
It looks like it will be an interesting design. What color and yarn type are you using for it? It looks very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the colour. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
ReplyDeleteI totally know that rip it all out feeling! But, once it is done I've never regretted it! I am looking forward to seeing the final design :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Did you consider finishing it and then just making a second, revised version? My hubby and my family always think I'm so crazy for ripping my knitting back, I'll have to show them this post so it'll help them understand I'm not alone in the craziness, ha ha :) Can't wait to see the finished design!
ReplyDeleteoh goodness! but you know, i think re-starting isn't so bad. i just enjoy knitting that much ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yarn.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the ripping was for the best, and that your new design will be a big hit ^_^
ooh, the big rip is always painful!! But it's going to be awesome. That Frost yarn looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it's going to be an amazing design! I can't wait to see it! The yarn looks so luxurious.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I can definitely relate. I'm in the process of ripping back an entire cardigan that just didn't work out. It's pretty liberating, don't you think? And you know that your new design will be that much more wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way.
ReplyDeleteIf there's something that I'll always notice and regret I have to rip it out bc I'll know I messed up.
I chalk it up to being slightly Type A.
You have to feel good about it!
